Unique Measurement Gauge Features
Axiam's family of measurement gauges have a 3-dimensional accuracy of +/- 0.000020 inch. Our gauges meet all ANSI, military specifications and FAA specifications. part set-up and measurement typically takes 4-5 minutes for each part due to the Tilt & Centering Correction software. Optimal builds are possible for each set of parts due to the part Distortion Correction software. part measurements are unaffected by ambient shop noise, as the gauges are protected by vibration isolators. Certain gauge models have the capacity of taking part radius measurements in addition to the relative measurements required for the stacking models.
- MEASUREMENT ACCURACY
Axiam manufactures various vertical, horizontal and portable gauges, all with a part measurement accuracy for up to 8,000 data points of +/-0.000020 inch over 60 inches. The Tilt and Centering accuracy is +/-0.000001 inch over 10 feet. The accuracy of absolute measurements is +/-0.000100 inch. - ABSOLUTE & RELATIVE MEASUREMENTS
Axiam's Absolute Diameter Measurement Arm ("ADMA") Gauge has the capability for the measurement of the absolute distances, i.e. parts' radius, as well as the relative measurements required for stacking. These measurements are all performed with the gauge located on the shop floor in the ambient environment, avoiding the CMM queue. Compensation for part expansion due to the shop ambient temperature is made through a laser-driven device together with Axiam's ADMA software. - TILT & CENTERING CORRECTION SOFTWARE
The 3-D Tilt & Centering Correction software allows operators to set up and measure a part in four to five minutes. The Tilt & Centering accuracy contributes to the gauge's overall measurement accuracy. - PART DISTORTION CORRECTION SOFTWARE
The Part Distortion Correction software mathematically converts a part's measurement in an unconstrained state as if the part were in a constrained state (i.e. assembled rotor) to generate an optimal predictive build model. - CALIBRATION & CERTIFICATION MASTERS
Axiam's proprietary Calibration and Certification 3D-Masters verify gauge system performance. FAA, ANSI and Mil. Spec. standards must be met for appropriate calibration and certification. both the ADMA and relative measurement masters are designed to check all combinations of measurement probe definitions. All software and hardware systems are checked for accuracy and repeatability. individual probe calibrations are performed using a certified set of gauge blocks traceable to NIST.
