Flow Path Management (FPM) Assembly Process
The FPM Assembly Process is a straight, optimal build for all the rotors, shafts, bearings/seals and casing. The dynamic parts of the engine core share a common centerline of rotation with the centerline of the casing and bearing housing. A predictive software model identifies the specific location(s) on the casing that require(s) machine work in order to optimize the blade-tip gap. The FPM Assembly Process further improves engine performance, quality, and costs.
